Hee hee... so much for the argument that phonics is the ONLY way to teach reading.

Not that phonics is a bad thing. It's just one tool of many in a reading teacher's toolbox.

But as this little bit of internet ephemera shows, reading isn't about "decoding" phonetically. It's about making meaning of the printed word.
